About Me

Just a little info about me:  My name is ShabbyLisaW.

I have loved crafting my whole life (except maybe sewing).  My mom was a crafter, and passed her love of crafting on to me.  I started this blog a few years back when I was heavily into scrapbooking and card-making.  Sadly I don’t do much of either anymore, but do hope to pick it back up in the future.

Recently my passion has changed to decorating and repurposing.  I have always been into antiques/vintage/collectibles, often asking for these types of items for gifts starting in my teens.  I grew up in a very sentimental family, and it is hard to get rid of items that I grew up with.  As such, I have soooo many treasures from my great-grandparents, grandparents and on down the line.

Other interests include photography (I’m a photographer wannabe) and cooking.  I also love to plan and throw parties (for myself…not for others).  I really have fun dreaming up themes and creating parties around that theme.

I live outside the city in a small subdivision surrounded by farms.  We live on 3 1/2 acres.  Our yard would be a gardeners paradise, if only we liked to garden.  Perhaps another hobby I will learn to love once I have more time.
